Event itemupdating which

I am not using the same functionality as in the demo.I have to manually add items to the "new Values" hashtable and am not using the same sort of data access anyway.I have to click "Cancel" to get back to the View Template. Check this bit if set do the processing in Item Updated.//the list item you want to update (typically SPItem Event Properties.List Item in an event receiver SPList Item special Item = list. Properties["some_persisted_key"] = "Some Value here"; special Item.System Update(false); Where would you declare the special Item?If you do it in Item Updating, it wouldn't be available in Item Updated so you would be stuck with the same issue.A typical way to use these collections is to HTML-encode the values supplied by the user before they are stored in the data source.
